DOG THERAPY SHED

My name is Donna Dickie I am fundraising for a dog therapy shed to be situated in the grounds of ALVA ACADEMY CLACKMANNANSHIRE.This shed is to be used by the children with additional support needs, we have found animal dog therapy allows the children to self regulate and establish animal relationships,it also builds confidence and self esteem,it brings calmness on a one to one basis with the animal,and meets the children’s social emotional needs,we have 3 dogs that are suitable for therapy we have Buddy,Isla and Haggis.children from all the Hillfoot towns attend the Academy our aim is to get the shed installed by March we have all the relevant permissions in place, this project has been a few years in the planning and now we have the full go ahead,past interaction with the dogs and the children inside the school has been a great success and the children loved meeting and spending time with the dogs,please give what you can to get this project finished.there will be updates and local newspaper coverage of the opening of the therapy shed.thank you
