Dog Transportation Van for Lovejoy Foundation

Tax deductible
The Lovejoy Foundation is a non-profit 501c(3) no-kill organization based in Inglewood, California (Tax ID 46-2767859). The Lovejoy Foundation, Inc (TLF) is a street dog rescue, they save dogs from the streets keeping them from entering the shelter system. This is a huge task as they have a mandatory 14 day stray hold, and exhaust all efforts to find owners and reunite and educating owners in the process to help them be better owners. They sponsor medical and food for those in need that are low income or homeless individuals with dogs. Half the work that the Director/Founder, Erin Lovejoy isn’t even ever seen on social media because she’s too busy saving lives to stop and post. Her reputation succeeds her.
On April 23, 2021, their transportation van was stolen. This has been crippling to TLF as the van was instrumental in the day-to-day operations. It was used to transport multiple dogs to their spay and neuter appointments, to get their rabies, routine and emergency visits, to pick up supplies and more.  This has been a devastating event for TLF, never mind having to limit business hours, cut staff due to the Covid 19 pandemic shutdown. Without the ability to transfer these animals to the vet, it has affected their weekend Adopton events to continue. Almost 8 weeks without the adoption income TLF is, to say the least, struggling. The transportation van was recovered on May 3, 2021, in Baldwin Hills, left on the street completely destroyed. They stole the entire contents of the van including the many crates in the van that held the dogs safely. They also stole the radio, battery, the vans 3 catalytic converters, and the alarm system. They destroyed the dash, door locks, and ignition. They also damaged the outside of the van. Not having the ability to transport the rescues is detrimental to any rescue let alone TLF with the amount of rescues in their care and those already adopted. Secondary and most critical is, if there was an emergency and they had to evacuate the dogs there would be no way to get the dogs off property quickly. I value the work of TLF and stand behind the selfless efforts of Erin Lovejoy and am asking to find a place in your heart to donate. Any amount makes a difference. Even a dollar is immensely appreciated. Let’s make it happen to get a new transport vehicle for The Lovejoy Foundation,Inc.
