Dogs abandoned on remote BC island need your help

THEIR STORY

On December 30, 2022, a crew headed by boat to a remote work camp spotted two emaciated, scared and freezing cold young dogs on a remote island off north Vancouver Island. Kindly, the Mowi staff brought the pair to their camp and reached out for help. Tri-Port Wildlife Response Team immediately stepped up and arranged housing for the two boys as Mowi graciously organized and donated a boat ride to the north island, not a small feat as it was New Year's Day.

Tiger and Bear, both just under a year old, were thin and frightened but are now safe. For the past few months, they've been going on walks, digging, playing and snuggling and are doing great. They have since accrued vet bills being covered by their foster mom; they were initially assessed and treated, vaccinated, as well as their care costs over the past few months. Now that they're ready, they need to be neutered so they can be adopted into permanent loving homes. Will you help these two lucky bugs with their care costs so they can start their promising new lives?

Any funds over and above what is needed for Tiger and Bear will be used to help future critters as Tri-Port Wildlife Response Team is the only rescue in the North Island region and stays busy. They regularly help domestic animals and are a lifeline to help capture and transport injured wildlife such as eagles and swans to MARS Wildlife Rescue for treatment.
