Tiny the German Shepherd's most impactul interaction with humankind was being used as target practice.
While exactly what happened is a mystery, Tiny`s wounds tell the story.
Tiny was shot multiple times suffering numerous pellet wounds. So many pellets were found embedded in Tiny`s body that they had to come from multiple guns and multiple shooters.
Imagine Tiny`s fear and pain as several humans yelled, laughed and shot her over and over with pellet guns.
As Tiny staggered away from her attackers, she found herself crossing a dark and empty street. That's when she was struck by a car. The driver neglected to STOP AND HELP TINY. Tiny suffered both an extremely painful broken hip and a broken backbone.
Tiny was discovered and taken to a shelter. Unfortunately Tiny's stoic nature disguised the true nature of her injuries so she received no pain medication for over a week.
That's when Coastal German Shepherd Rescue of San Diego rushed to help Tiny.
Tiny is now in the care of a team of Specialist Veterinarians.
