Dogs Leg Amputated after City Workers Neglect

Donation protected
Hello, My name is Jaimie Capuano-Owner of CLEdogs Spa & Social in Cleveland, OHIO.
We are raising funds for our best pal, Stanley, a regular client that was tragically hit and run over by a

Garbage Truck on their way to our salon for his Christmas grooming appointment. Dane (Stanleys owner) was getting his leash on, Stanley bolted out the front door in excitement since this is one of his favorite places to be. He headed straight for the street with Dane following right after him. The Garbage Truck speeding and barreling down the side street in which Stanley lives on (not even on a trash pickup day)! Stanley's front leg was completely crushed in several places. There was no salvaging the bone structure and the Vet deemed immediate amputation to save the dogs life.
These are phenomenal people and their dog, Stanley, has been coming to get groomed since he was just a puppy. It was an ordinary day, with such pure intentions to care, love, and pamper their dog before Christmas. Stanley will have to learn new techniques in the way he now approaches life. The owners will have to learn how to adjust as well, especially with the physical therapy and skin issues that may occur from a 3 legged dog.
CLEdogs Spa & Social wants to share some things the owner, Dane, has written below. Any amount that you can give to help with Stanley and the
abrupt Medical Costs for this terrible event. The Family will be so appreciative. Stanley is a survivor. Please help by donating!

"Stanley’s beginning in life is worthy of a Dolly Parton song. Born in a barn in Kentucky on November 10, 2021 with 8 siblings, Stanley Pucci Barr-Vannatter was rescued by the wonderful caring people at Muttley Crew in Olmsted Falls, Ohio. He came into our lives and loving home on February 26, 2022. We were told that Stanley loved 3 things: treats, belly rubs and playtime. Stanley didn’t just become part of the Barr-Vannatter family, he defines our family. His love has turned this house into a home. On December 20, 2023 a Cleveland city garbage truck was speeding down our little 8 house street in the Glenville section of the city. Stanley and I were leaving the house to go get his Christmas bath. Stanley broke out of his collar, no doubt to protect us from this mammoth tank, and the worst possible scenario unfolded. The truck hit Stanley with a force that shredded his right front leg. And though the driver clearly saw Stanley running toward the truck (the whole episode is caught on our Ring video) he reluctantly stopped but never left his cab and didn’t offer any words of advice or comfort. I rushed Stanley to Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital where he received phenomenal care. His leg was amputated and he has staples in some other abrasions. Thankfully, he has no internal injuries. Stanley’s bills have already exceeded $10,000. He has returned home and his resilience and mobility on three legs is already astounding us. He’s our Christmas miracle."
-Dane, Stanely's owner.
