Doing it for Dazz

Our great mate Darran recently experienced a tragic accident while playing hockey, a sport he enjoyed playing with people he loved, leaving him with significant injuries. Darran broke his neck at the C3/C4 level and suffered a severe spinal cord injury leaving him with little to no movement or sensation below his upper chest. As he fights hard to recover, we stand by his side, rallying together to provide assistance, care, and support for Darran, his beautiful wife Jen and his amazing 4 girls Cady, Jesse, Scarlett and Kyla, during this challenging time.

Those fortunate enough to have Darran and Jen grace their lives understand the extraordinary generosity that defines their characters. As well-known and revered Cairns locals, they embody selflessness, willing to offer the shirt off their backs to support those in need.

Darran’s devotion to his family is remarkable. His family are his world, and he has worked tirelessly as an Airport Fireman for 20 years to provide for their well-being and happiness. The unexpected medical expenses resulting from the accident have and will continue to put immense strain on the family’s financial situation.

This GoFundMe campaign aims to alleviate some of the financial hardships faced by this beautiful family. Your generous contributions will directly assist with medical bills, ongoing treatments, necessary modifications to their home and to ensure Darran receives the specialised care he needs on his road to recovery.
