Donna Marino Breast Cancer Foundation

The Donna Marino Breast Cancer Foundation has been established to help women of all ages become educated about the risks of breast cancer in their lifetime. The foundation will educate women on how to be tested for the BRCA1 gene, will help women emotionally and financially who are stricken with breast cancer and are fighting to stay alive. Donna Marino was diagnosed with breast cancer in March 2012 and although she fought as hard as she could, she could not beat this horrible disease. She passed away on June 17, 2013 at the young age of 51. Donna was an amazing woman and human being. A beautiful person who loved her family, her home and her life. She brought sunshine into everyone's lives that she touched. She was full of life. This foundation has been established in her memory and her honor. She will never be forgotten as this foundation will be generational so as we pass on the next generation will take over. That will never cease and she will always be kept "alive." We have huge goals set and we hope to achieve them. Our primary objective is to save as many women's lives as possible. We can achieve this by educating as many women as we can. We will help with the emotional and financial struggles as much as we can. If we are successful in our fundraising we will be building a facility for women who are fighting or have beaten breast cancer to go to to feel like women again. A facility where these women can meet other women who are battling and create long term relationships. A facility that will provide them with all of the femininity that they once had before going through mastectomies, chemo, the loss of their hair, radiation, MRI's, CT scans, surgery for expanders, fills, implants, hundreds of pills, hospital stays, blood tests, IV's. These women have been through it all and deserve to feel whole again. They deserve to feel like women again. Your donations can make it happen. All in the name of the bravest, most courageous and incredible woman I have ever known, Donna Marino. She was my girlfriend and my wife for 34 1/2 years and will be my inspiration until my last breath.
