Do it for Doczy
Donation protected
Canadian Hockey League, Ontario Hockey League and Owen Sound Attack Alumni Milan Doczy is fighting a battle that is much bigger than any fought on the ice. Milan was recently diagnosed with a form of Melanoma (skin cancer) which spread to his nodes. While an MRI has confirmed that the Cancer has not spread any further, Milan still requires very intense treatment to help combat this disease.
The Owen Sound Attack have developed the "Do it for Doczy" Campaign. The money raised will go directly to Milan to help cover the cost of his treatments and his living/travel expenses during this difficult time.
Milan's insurance does not cover the cost of this treatment/medicine, meaning this possible life saving treatment must be paid for out of pocket by Milan. This particular treatment is deemed necessary for him to fight this battle and to stop the Cancer from spreading. The side effects of this treatment are quite harsh, therefore; Milan will not be able to work and provide for himself during this time.
Milan arrived in Owen Sound in 2007 to play hockey for the Attack and spent three seasons in the Scenic City. Following that, Milan pursued an education at Brock University, where he currently studies and plays for their varsity hockey team, the Brock Badgers.
Owen Sound Attack fans and Brock University Students will be able to purchase "Do it for Doczy" wristbands at the Attack Shack at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre (after Christmas) as well as Brock University in the New Year. If able, we also ask you to help out by donating on this website.
We're asking the people of Owen Sound, Brock University and the Hockey Community to "Band" together and Do if for Doczy.
