Gerry Dolan Retirement Commission

Gerry Dolan has led the music program in the Ipswich Public Schools for the last thirty years. To honor and thank him for the incredible influence he has had on thousands of students and colleagues, the Ipswich community has commissioned composer Robert J. Bradshaw to write a substantial work for multiple ensembles. Mr. Bradshaw’s piece will serve as a musical and personal tribute to Mr. Dolan, who has been a strong advocate for new music throughout his career.

What better way to say, “THANK YOU, Mr. Dolan,” than through this meaningful and lasting artistic endeavor? The work will be premiered by Ipswich students, alumni, colleagues, and friends at the Gerry Dolan Retirement Concert on June 26, 2015.
