DOLLY Scrub Hub becomes DOLLY Sewing For Good!
I set up DOLLY Scrub Hub back in April 2020 as a temporary volunteer group to sew desperately needed PPE for the NHS during the COVID Pandemic.
Our dream team of 268 home sewers made an unbelievable 14,000 scrubs for the NHS while in lockdown.
In the process, we built a community of wonderful, generous, compassionate, talented sewers, many of whom are keen to keep up this amazing work. And there's plenty of good sewing to do.
So we've renamed ourselves DOLLY Sewing For Good and we’re here for good. AND good! Get it?!
We’ll keep you updated with news and photos via social media - follow us on Instagram or on Facebook
If you’d like to SIGN UP to SEWING FOR GOOD we’d love to welcome you to our very special community - simply click the LINK below and we'll keep you in the picture:
DOLLY SEWING FOR GOOD
In the event of excess funds being raised, or DOLLY SEWING FOR GOOD being dissolved, every penny will go to another regional sewing group.
UPDATE:
We're already busy making summer school dresses for the Lewes School Uniform Bank and today I'm launching our latest project - Canvas Calico Reusable Bags for Lewes Food Bank.
Food Bank Bag Kits and Instructions are now available at DOLLY Studio for you to simply make up and return ready for the printers. It’s basically just like the big Aldi shopping bag so a lot easier than scrubs! We need 100 for the December 11th Food Bank Collection with another 200 in the pipeline for next year.
We're using our social media to tell the behind-the-scenes DOLLY Sewing For Good story so we can be fully transparent, open and honest with our supporters and team - follow us Instagram or Facebook for all the latest.
Love and thanks, from the DOLLY Sewing For Good team!
