Domestic Violence Awareness - Held Hostage at Home

My name is Shauna, and I'm asking for your help with spreading my story. For the second time in my life, I am refusing to remain silent about the domestic abuse I've suffered. The first time, I was a minor and the justice system was on my side. This time, as a mother, the justice system is against me. I admit that I did commit a crime to flee my abuser, and I often think back to what I could have or should have done differently. Even though I did get away from my ex, my children will now be living with him while I serve prison time. While in prison, I will finish my book, work on myself, help others and prepare for the fight of a lifetime when I get home. Your donation will help keep my home while I'm away, provide commissary, support the "Held Hostage at Home" documentary film, aid myself in spreading domestic violence awareness through my story, and pay legal fees.
