Hi My name is Sydnie McDonald I am a young mother and college student looking for assistance relocating from a domestic violence relationship.

I need emergency relocation assistance because my child’s father forcefully entered my apartment through my balcony door shooting at me while I was holding our daughter and then he kidnapped her. He has been arrested and is in jail but he has a bond hearing Friday August 4th, 2023 and can potentially get out of jail. Due to the timing of this incident I had just paid rent and all my bills which left me with no money. I need financial assistance to relocate myself and my daughter to somewhere safe away from all of this. I need a U-Haul, housing expenses, groceries, child care , moving and transportation help. My job has placed me on unpaid personal leave and that does not have job security. Alabama does not have laws protecting victims of domestic violence in the workplace and while all of this is going on I could lose my job if I cannot secure a safe residence to work from then I will lose my job and ability to provide for my daughter.
