Dom's Motorcycle Accident Recovery

My best friend Dom was in a motorcycle accident Sunday 7/16/2023 around 1:00 in the morning coming back home to Pennsylvania from Florida with my boyfriend from a business meeting.

He was life-flighted to Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah Georgia.

Upon arrival, it was confirmed he had a traumatic brain injury and underwent an emergency craniectomy to reduce the swelling and intracranial pressure in his brain.

On August 9th, after about a month stay to stabilize, Dom was moved back home to Pennsylvania to a facility in Bethlehem, at the expense of him family. Thankfully, what was raised at that time with this GoFundMe covered about 75% of those expenses.

On September 25th, Dom was moved again, this time to a rehab facility in Elkin's Park, where it is our hope he will remain until he is able to go home.

Dom is still in a coma. He has suffered a very severe traumatic brain injury and this can look very different case by case, so the future is unknown. He is breathing on his own but he is not responsive to the outside world. He is undergoing physical and occupational therapies. We are unsure of the severity of his brain injury and what deficits he will have.

Any donations will be used to help offset the cost of the medical transports, hotels/Airbnb for his family to be with him during this time and the extensive medical bills that continue to accumulate as Dom is receiving care at the rehab facility.
