Dominguez Family Support for Ayden

Last night, 5/24/2020, our ten-year-old son, Ayden was admitted to the hospital due to a terrible accident that caused a severe hand injury. We were immediately airlifted to Albuquerque late in the evening. Due to COVID restrictions which only allow one parent with a child at a time in the hospital - Yoban and I are here and taking turns to comfort and care for Ayden. After a stressful and long surgery, the surgeons delivered the news that our precious son may never fully recover the functionality of his hand. This is entirely life-altering and Ayden will be emotionally crushed to find out he will no longer be able to do the things he loves most in his life. This is all we know for now. We are awaiting additional tests and a team of doctors will be discussing the best next steps for our son. We are working with the hospital to get our boy transferred closer to home as we prepare for the long recovery process. My heart breaks for my dear son and the thought of overcoming this in any capacity seems overwhelming. Your outpouring of love, compassion, support, and prayers is felt beyond measure. We can literally feel your hearts opening to us and that has helped. Please continue to pray for our Ayden.
