Assist Dominic with Adaptive Sports Throwing Chair

Hi, my name is Keith (retired US Navy Chief Petty Officer), I am raising money to help with the purchase of custom Field Events Throwing Chair for my 10 year old son, Dominic. Dominic was born with Spina Bifida Myelomeningocele, which resulted in, among other things, paralysis of the lower legs (just below the knees).

Dominic uses a Walker with AFOs for short distances and a wheelchair for longer treks. He has recently found adaptive track and field events/Para sports as a way to play sports, be competitive, and meet others his age with similar mobilty challenges. He primarily competes in the seated throwing events (Javelin, Discus, and Shotput). He has been able borrow a throwing chair during competition recently, however they are adult throwing chairs and do not fit him well. He would really like his own throwing chair made to fit his size, to be able to practice at home and compete with over the next several years. This is an activity that he can participate in as he grows, during highschool years and beyond. Who knows, he maybe even represent the US some day at the world Paralympic games.
