Help our school's technology needs
Tax deductible
Our school district is facing budgetary challenges, and competing priorities as student population has increased 28.4% in last six years. Despite all the school’s effort, a very small portion of the funding is going towards technology improvements. Outdated technology in our classrooms is hindering advanced learning, creativity and productivity especially for the most vulnerable.
To address this issue, our school is implementing a Bring Your Own Technology (BYOT) initiative. BYOT supports 'One to the World' aims to make students competitive on global level. Dominion high school serves a student body where many students are empowered to bring personal devices to school to enhance their educational experience. However, 25 percent of our students live in poverty and lack access to the instructional technology tools that will allow them to achieve at the same high levels as their peers.
The money raised will be used to improve technology tools among these vulnerable learners and to support Art, Physical Education, Math and World languages programs. Also, it will be used to help the school-wide technology to facilitate communicating and teaching in large spaces, sharing with Global audience (One to the World Initiative) and consistent access to Technology for Teaching & Learning.
We need your support to level the playing field for the underprivileged. Please donate to help and give the opportunity to the most vulnerable!
