Don & Donna Baslow Owners DONna's Cafe, Rome, NY

Don & Donna Baslow have owned and operated a local family eatery (DONna's Cafe) in Rome, NY for the past 17 years. They have opened for early morning folks at 7AM and closed at 2PM each day. On Monday's the restaurant is closed. This family run business is the only form of income they have. As it turns out the insurance coverage available will take time and isn't going to be as much as they had thought. All the more reason for us to share what we can and to share the fundraiser so that other folks will have the opportunity to make a donation.

Today their building was completely demolished by fire. All that is left is charred remains on the ground because the building is completely gone.

Can we as a community and as caring people pull together to donate toward some of the income and expense that will help them recover and get a fresh start. The plan is they will be back. We aren't sure about location or details just yet but their business has served us all for a very long time.
