Don Foster’s House Fire

My 90-year old grandfather, Don Foster, who is a Korean War Navy Veteran, lost his home to a fire in the early morning hours on February 4th - the coldest day of the year.

While we are incredibly grateful he made it out alive, his home and all of his belongings are a complete loss.

He and my grandmother, Ruby, moved into their home across the street from Hobbs Pond in Norway in 1980, and had lived there together until my grandmother had to be placed into a nursing home last year. Adjusting to living on his own has been a struggle and this makes it even more difficult.
