Don Fucci

Don is a devoted husband, proud father, and loyal friend to many. He is an incredibly hard working provider for his family and will help others out at any chance and in any way he can. Recently while doing some home improvement jobs around his house, Don felt a sudden severe headache and was rushed to the emergency room at Huntington Hospital by ambulance. After a brief assessment, the medical team decided that he needed to be airlifted to South Shore Hospital, where he is currently being treated for a subarachnoid hemorrhage, severe brain bleeding. He has been in the Neuro ICU since Friday, August 12 and will require hospitalization for roughly 5 weeks. The Neuro Surgical/ Intervention teams have been working around the clock to address his condition. He has had multiple CAT scans, MRI’s, angiograms, and other tests and will continue to need them in the coming weeks. He has a long road ahead with recovery and will be needing Physical and Occupational Therapy, as well as durable medical equipment. Once he is released, he’ll also be in need of safety modifications to his home."
