Don Grenier Unexpected Shoulder Surgery
Donation protected
Hi all,
Most, if not all of you know my dad, Don Grenier. He has been a Mount Holly community member for 25 years and a staple of the Vermont drywall community for 35+ years. This past year has been very hard for our family, especially him. My mom getting sick and passing has taken a huge toll on him emotionally and physically.
At the beginning of February, he was awakened in the middle of the night by excruciating shoulder pain and swelling. After a trip to the ER, he was told not to work for 4-6 weeks due to a rotator cuff injury.
Two weeks later he had an MRI and they discovered two of the tendons that attach his rotator cuff were completely torn off. This meant, he had to have surgery to repair the tears.
His surgery was on March 9th, and he is recovering well. Unfortunately, the surgeon could not reattach the 2 torn tendons and had to cut his bicep tendon, which was under immense stress due to the other tendons not being attached.
At this point, he is out of work for another 6-8 weeks, and as he is the only person in the house with an income he is falling behind. My dad is the hardest-working man I know and it's sad to see him in this position.
I am creating this GoFundMe to help pay for his household and medical expenses for the next 6-8 weeks before he is released to return to work.
We appreciate any donations to help him get through this challenging time.
Sincerely,
The Grenier family
