Don Sheter

This is my uncle, Don Sheter. At age 58, he is the youngest of 4 siblings. He has always lived life to the fullest, making the most of each day. He is one of the funniest, most caring and outgoing people I know. He was looking forward to celebrating his 20th anniversary next month with his wife Brenda. On Tuesday, August 18th, everything changed. Don was taken by ambulance from his work to River Bend. He was having trouble speaking his words and lost feeling on his right side. After an MRI and CT scan, a mass was found in his brain. A biopsy confirmed our worst fears. Don has Glioblastoma. This is an extremely aggressive cancer. There is no cure for this type of tumor. Don and Brenda were given the hardest news of their lives, 6-12 months to live. On Wednesday, August 26th, Don will have surgery to remove some of the mass and improve the quality of his life for the months ahead. Following surgery, he will have 5 weeks of radiation and then chemotherapy.
Too sudden and too young. His family and friends would like to see Don and Brenda enjoying these months ahead together, out doing and seeing sights. This life changing news is incredibly stressful. Please help alleviate some of the stress from hospital bills by donating. Don’s only wish is for Brenda to remain in their house. All funds will go towards Don’s medical expenses. We can’t change his diagnoses but together we can improve his last months, please help.
