On January 26th our Dad, Don Zapata was fatally struck by a truck while at work. To say our hearts are broken is an incredible understatement.

We would like to assure everyone that our family has his funeral expenses covered, but we recognize that our father has touched so many lives and many have reached out to us to contribute in his honor. We plan on spending some of the donations on flowers for his memorial and making donations to various charities in Dad’s name.

Thank you for all the outpourings of sympathy and love. He influenced so many people through his youth coaching, his legacy within the construction community, and his larger than life personality. He will live on in us all.
