Don't Let Hope Burn Down...
Donation protected
On the day of 5/31/2020 the small business named King's Men & Women had become one of many small businesses victimized to looting and vandalism. The owners, Helen and Steve Woo, have been in operation for over 20 years at this very location. They have created memories, friendships, and also have overcome many obstacles along the way to stay open in the community they've grown to love.
But nothing has been a bigger obstacle than the one our family faces today.
The fire set to the business makes it uncertain if our family will be able to reopen. We are even uncertain if our insurance will cover all of the costs to ever be able to open our doors again. Nothing has been officially done in terms of actual numbers from insurance yet. But what we are certain of is that if our insurance does not provide 100% of what should be covered to reopen, financial hardships will follow. Forcing our family to close the business. We come to you with humbled hearts and ask for help so that we may remain in business. So that we can return to the community and friends we have made over the years. We appreciate any support that you provide us, whether it's a donation, thoughts, or prayers. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
A NOTE TO THOSE WHO HAVE ALREADY DONATED
Hello to all of you beautiful, loving, and generous souls. First and foremost, we would like to say thank you a million times over. We are deeply moved by the generosity and support you have shown us during this time of uncertainty and hardship. There was some information that was misinterpreted and placed here. So we decided to re-do a lot. We will be updating the goals and adjusting it as we receive more information. It's currently set at a 1.5 person national average income.
