Dona alegría: Ayuda a construir un parque en CDV

¡Hola! Mi nombre es Tuty Vega, profesora latina colombiana que actualmente reside en Estados Unidos. Y hoy me dirijo a ti porque necesito tu ayuda para poder crear un parque digno para una humilde escuela de primaria en Valledupar, Cesar, Colombia.

Recientemente, tuve la oportunidad de visitar el Centro de Desarrollo Vecinal (CDV), una hermosa escuela ubicada en un sector vulnerable de la ciudad. Inicialmente la idea era hacer una donación de útiles escolares que habia recaudado junto a unos amigos. Durante mi visita, pude constatar que tanto los niños como los docentes carecen de muchas cosas básicas, más allá de los útiles escolares. La triste realidad es que los niños no tienen un área de juegos, ya que todo se encuentra en completo estado de deterioro. Además, no cuentan con un espacio adecuado para la cafetería, han sido víctimas de robos y ni siquiera tienen luz en los baños, entre otras carencias.

Soy consciente de que todo proceso lleva tiempo y se logra paso a paso. Por esta razón, he decidido iniciar la reconstrucción completa del parque de la escuela. Es lamentable que una escuela que atiende a niños desde el jardín de infancia hasta el quinto grado de primaria no cuente con algo tan básico como un parque.

Hello! My name is Tuty Vega, a Latina teacher from Colombia currently residing in the United States. Today, I'm reaching out to you because I need your help to create a playground for a humble elementary school in Valledupar, Cesar, Colombia.

Recently, I had the opportunity to visit the Centro de Desarrollo Vecinal (CDV), a beautiful school located in a vulnerable area of the city. Initially, the idea was to donate school supplies that I had collected with some friends. During my visit, I witnessed that both the children and the teachers lack many necessities, beyond just school supplies. The sad reality is that the children don't have a play area as everything is in a state of complete deterioration. Additionally, they lack a suitable cafeteria space, have been victims of theft, and don't even have lighting in the bathrooms, among other deficiencies.

I am aware that every process takes time and is achieved step by step. For this reason, I have decided to initiate the complete reconstruction of the school's playground. It's disheartening that a school catering to children from kindergarten to fifth grade doesn't have something as basic as a playground.
