To the memory of Donal Digan
Hi All
I am going to dedicate my participation in the upcoming Dublin City Marathon to the life and times and sad passing of our friend Donal. A man wise beyond his years with a calm mind and a steadying hand he was a pleasure to know and his absence will be felt by Mary, his son David, his sisters and brother and mam and all of us who were lucky to be his friend.
Less than 18 months ago the team at St Francis Hospice in Blanchardstown cared for our friend Ciaran as he fought until the end and now again we have seen first hand the work that the team at the hospice do. There really are no words to describe the work that the hospice care team does.
The hospice facilities and care teams are so important to patients and families in end of life care and the need for funding never goes away so I am asking for people to donate to St Francis Hospice Charity in memory of Donal and in support of all at St Francis hospice. Every amount helps no matter how small so please donate if you can.
To all of the team at St Francis, thank you for what you do.
