Donald and Myrna James

Thank you for taking the time to read this. I started this go fund me to go directly to my friend Lorie. Lorie has lived with and cared for her family for many years. She is disabled with two teenage daughters.
Within the last few weeks, Lorie's dad, Donald, passed away, and, today, her mother, Myrna, laid down for a nap and never woke up. I'm not sure if many of us can fathom what it is like to lose both of your parents in a very short period of time. Yet this is her reality.
Years ago, when I was struggling to make ends meet, Lorie, who had just enough to make ends meet for herself and family, without expecting a thank you or a thing in return, stepped up to help me. I have never forgotten her kindness. She has a heart of gold and is a giver. She has a hard time asking for help, so I'm stepping in to ask on her behalf.
I am raising money to help Lorie with funeral costs and to help her financial situation be less stressful. Rent was paid through disability checks and Myrna's retirement, and with two less incomes, you can only imagine the stress Lorie is experiencing.
She must now seek affordable housing and transportation before the months end, all while covering the cost of not one, but two funerals.
Donald James was an amry veteran. He was a man of many talents like machanics, farming, roofing, and carpentry. He enjoyed fishing and working with his hands. Also, Donald was a math wizard and helped all his kids and grandkids with anything to do with numbers.
All children loved him, including my own.
Myrna also a woman of many talents. She could make a cake like no other. She worked for many years in the bakery at Homeland, and she made many cakes for birthdays and weddings across the greater Bartlesville area.
The peace we find in this is that Donald and Myrna are together again. It's a love story. Theirs is the story of hard work, raising kids, barely making ends meet, working your bodies to the bones, but it is also one filled with a love so strong, they couldn't survive without each other.
Thank you again for taking the time to read this. Any amount you can donate to help Lorie and her children will be appreciated more than you know. She needs our help.
