Donald Starling - Attorney Fees & Cremation Cost

Hey there! My name is Lauren Starling, and I am raising funds to cover the legal fees for settling the estate of my late father, Donald Starling. Unfortunately, he did not have a will, and so as I am next of kin, I am to be the executor of the estate. Regrettably, I live 1,500 miles away, and am inbetween jobs, so I do not have the time or funds to fly down there to assist in settling the estate. I have signed legal paperwork so that a family member who lives down there can take care of legal paperwork.

My father did not have a lot of money, so we worry that the money it takes to pay the attorney and work with the debtors, will eat up what little he had left.

My family has found a lawyer, and they estimate about $2k to cover those costs.

I am asking for $3k not only to cover the costs of the attorney, but for the cremation as well. My family was able to cover it, but I want to be able to give back to them, as it was obviously an unexpected expense.

Please do not think of this gofundme as us looking for a handout. My intention is that if you donate a certain amount, I can make you handmade art! If you donate $20, I can make a pair of dangly yarn earrings. If you donate $100 or more, I will handpaint a custom commission for you, whether it be a pet portrait, person portrait, or whatever you decide. If you donate $500 or more, I can paint you a small/medium mural. If you donate more, we can discuss a larger mural, or other work that you may be interested in having done. If you are out of state, we can discuss logistics depending on project size and your timeline. I am a hard worker, and I am open to doing whatever work it takes so this can be deemed a fair exchange for your donation.
