Donalyn and Sabrina Replenish Stolen Belongings
Donation protected
My name is Kendall KP and I have set up this GoFundMe to help my friends Donalyn and Sabrina who are moving from Colorado to California. In the span of a month, their new home in California was broken into with belongings stolen from their initial move out, their car was broken into, and the U-Haul containing the rest of their belongings was stolen during their final trip out to California this week - items ranging from furniture to family photos to clothes – was all taken.
Let me tell you about my friends. Donalyn and Sabrina are incredible community-builders. They dedicate themselves in their personal and professional lives to amplify voices that may otherwise go unnoticed, and they pour out their love to those who have never known what it means to be unconditionally loved. They crave different voices in their lives and humble themselves before new perspectives to discern the ways they can grow from what they may not naturally understand or know. If the people who stole from Donalyn and Sabrina had just asked for assistance, they likely would have been welcomed in with a meal and warmth. There always seems to be a collection of people in Donalyn and Sabrina’s home, brought together because they are two of the most authentic people I have ever met. There is a lot I can say about these two, so let me just say this: Whoever you are, whatever your journey in life – you will find home and chosen family in these two humans.
Moving itself is so hard, but the recent challenges Donalyn and Sabrina have had makes the new start in a new state that much harder. I am inviting you to join Donalyn and Sabrina’s extended community to help rebuild a bit of their lives (and wardrobe and kitchen, etc). We appreciate you helping us through your contributions and/or by passing this along to those who might want to contribute. These two deserve the world, but I’m hoping we can at least manage a toaster…
