Donate A Cake

A little story.....months after this picture was taken my dad died...and to cut a very horrible long story short, me and my siblings experience long periods of food poverty in our childhood and it really was a horrible & depressing way to live. Bare cupboards, begging local shops to give us food or just plain going hungry!

To think, that because of the governments decision to not grant children with free meals during the holidays 1.4 MILLION children will go without food! That’s a shocking statistic!

I was thinking how I could help as a business, and it got me to thinking that I literally can’t remember having a birthday cake as a kid, like ever!

So I’m going to start a ‘donate a cake’ initiative, (please follow @donateacake on Fb, insta and Twitter) where I’ll donate a cake every week for the foreseeable future to a child who’s birthday it is and who’s family can’t afford it and hopefully it’ll help to bring a bit of joy to a really awful situation! I know it’s not the solution but it might bring them happiness! A ray of sunshine is welcomed when you’re a kid in that situation!
