Under a Zambian Tree: Boston Fundraiser

Donation protected
Under a Zambian Tree is the inspiring and emotional account of one woman's quest to educate and empower rural village children. Dora Moono Nyambe - or "Teacher Dora" - began with no funding and no school building, just an unwavering belief 'that kindness should drive humanity and development.' From preventing child marriages, navigating village politics and reaching millions of supporters online, Teacher Dora's epic journey from mud hut to full-fledged boarding school is a testament to her incredible resilience and tenacity.

This fundraiser is to buy copies of Under a Zambian Tree to donate to local high schools. Your donation will have two layers of impact. First, the proceeds from the books purchased will go directly to supporting the work being done at Footprints of Hope. Then, the books purchased will be provided to local high schoolers. This story is truly inspiring and provides an incredible opportunity for high school students to engage with the important topics of international development, female and black empowerment, and the power of education. These are the kinds of books that we want in our schools and Dora is the kind of leader we want students to emulate.
