Every year on the special day of Durga Astami (the eighth day of the Moon on October 9, 2024), my Rotary Club of Calcutta Newbies comes together to host a special lunch for the brave cancer warriors at Premashraya - the free residence for those getting cancer treatment in one of the Cancer hospitals in Kolkata. This heartfelt gesture is a testament to our commitment to supporting these fighters in their journey. By sharing a meal and moments of joy, we aim to inspire hope, laughter, and resilience, reminding them that they are not alone in their battle. It's not about finding a cure for tomorrow, but about standing together and fortifying an emotional support today.
