Donate for Heart and Stroke NI
This year I have decided I am going to be running the Belfast Marathan for the Northern Ireland Chest Heart & Stroke.
I came to this decision through the inspiration of my Dad who has ran 3 Belfast Marathons and 1 Half Marathon.
Unfortunately my Dad has suffered from 3 strokes in the last few years which has been tough on him with his health. He still continues every day however physically some days are harder than others.
Also, last year (September) my 'mentor' and Best friend lost his go to person that was David (Digit) Gibson through having strokes. Digit was a massive player in his life and a huge part of my Football Club - Shorts FC. He was loved by our Football Club Family and I'm so glad I was able to know him even though it was a short time before he fell ill.
Today, up to 470,000 people in Northern Ireland live with a chest, heart or stroke condition and we are committed to supporting them
Over the last year I started running and from today 5th Feb 2025 marks my 12 week plan to run the Belfast Marathon.
My run is dedicated to my Dad and Big Digit and I hope you can join me to raise over my target amount to support a great charity.
Ben.
