Donate for Mike’s Life-Saving Treatment

My father, Mike Brister, was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer with metastases to the liver on August 2, 2023. Currently, he has gone through 26 chemotherapy treatments with MD Anderson in Houston, Texas. He has tried multiple different treatment types - all have stopped working and the prognosis is not great. He has been denied from multiple “approved” surgeries due to the advanced stage of his cancer.

He has been prospected to begin new life saving treatments (IRE Nano Knife, RFA Radio Frequency Ablation, and Histotripsy), but Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance has denied him coverage for the treatments despite appealing the decision multiple times. Treatment costs start at around $50,000 but will likely be more with travel, food, and lodging. These treatments are likely the only hope at saving my father’s life.
