Help us buy new speakers for our concerts!

Eight years ago, my friend considered hosting house concerts in the summer to celebrate the blessing of 30 years in her lovely home and wonderful neighborhood. Neighbors and friends were invited, music was shared, and joy filled the space. Now we’re in our 8th season! In 2020, we took it outside and rebranded to “From The Front Porch,” providing an opportunity for more people to attend.

Our current sound system is approximately 40 years old, and last year we blew a speaker. Fortunately, we were able to borrow a pair to finish out the season. While we had the old speaker repaired, its age suggests that we’re at high risk of another breakdown. And, we learned that newer speakers sound so much better!

We run the house concert with zero budget; we ask for tips from those that are able and 100% is given directly to the performers. So, we’re here humbly asking for donations to help us replace the speakers for another eight years of introducing friends, neighbors, and whomever chances upon us (people out biking or walking their dog, or the firefighters and EMTs from down the street who pop over occasionally) to wonderful local music, including opportunities for up-and-coming musicians to be heard as the opening act.
