Donate in memory of Benson Drapiza

Benson Drapiza touched so many of our lives whether through 14 years as the drummer of one of the big drums in the Timbers Army, shredding powder days on Hood, mixing up dance parties or simply through his friendship. He was an absolute force on this earth and one that will not be forgotten.

Through the course of his sudden death, memorials (from various parts of his life) and more, many have asked how they can help. Unfortunately death is costly both on our spirits as well as the family involved finances, with funerals, cremation, memorials and more... So, if you are longing to help and looking to honor our dear friend, brother, ex-boyfriend (he's saying "you're welcome for that one;) lol), please donate here and help his sister and mother offset some of the costs. Our goal does not cover everything, but it makes a meaningful impact and so we ask humbly that you give what you can and absolutely no pressure to do so.

Note for transparency: While I (Chad Smith) created the fundraiser, all funds will be transferred directly to Leani Drapiza (Ben's sister) to offset cost incurred by her and her mother. If we go over our goal, we will hold the fundraiser for the remainder of this week (ending in 2/29), as costs were well above our goal and so anything additional will only further offset their expenses. To meet GoFundMe requests, I would add that funds will be given to the family via a check (to Leani Drapiza) once transfer completes.
