Donate in loving memory of Gareth Lancaster

It is with great sadness, I have been asked to set this post which will ensure Gareth Lancaster (Gaz) has the funeral he deserves.

Where do I even begin. On Friday night Gaz sadly gained his angel wings where we had to say goodbye to the most popular lad around. Gaz influenced so many people and it will take along time before anything returns to some form of normality.

Gaz did everything for his family, leaving behind his partner Tandia and his 2 beautiful little children Annie & Albert who absolutely adore him as a father. Gaz was a very close family lad, Son to Graham and brother to Jonathan, Ryan, Megan and Declan. As a family they are understandably devastated and still grieving over his belated mother Adele who passed away aged 49.

Everyone who knew Gaz praised how hard he worked, he absolutely loved working for GSL plumbing and heating and previously Metro Rod where he was known as ‘Gas Gaz’.

On a personal note, Gaz was my rock. My best friend since being kids and I have tears rolling down my face as I’m typing. No other friend has childish laughs and mischievous banter like us. I should be planning a speech for your wedding not carrying your coffin. Life will never be the same again.

Every time Annie wakes up, she looks in the bedroom for you. Every time your van pulls up she runs to the window shouting Dad. Albert has just started laughing at you when you walk in. His face lights up!

We all love you so much Gaz and going to miss. you. We will all try to be strong and look after your family. Your now out this cruel world and having a pint with your Mum, goodnight mate.

*After speaking with Gareth’s family and the amount raised, the money on this fund will be sent into my spare bank account which is currently empty and is ultimately paying for Gareth Lancaster’s funeral. I’m called Aiden Wilson and a really close friend to the family and best friend to Gareth. This is what his father has requested to help and ensure he gets the funeral he deserves. Any surplus cash wish be ultimately be put into a trust fund to ensure his two little children are looked after when they are older. This is ultimately what Gareth would of wanted and on behalf of Gareth’s family, I genuinely appreciate each and every donation.

If you feel distressed and would like to talk to someone, you could call the Samaritans 24-hour helpline on 116123.

There is also Mind on 0300 [phone redacted].
