Donate in memory of Chris Lapinski

My name is Russha Knauer, and I have dedicated a large portion of my career to the study of brain injuries. However, this holiday season, my personal and professional worlds collided.

My son's best friend, Link, lost his father Chris Lapinski after he suffered a stroke that medical professionals described as a "devestating brain injury." It's a heart breaking loss for Link, being as close and a son and father could be. Link clearly believed his father hung the moon. And, likely, Chris had something to do with it.

Chris was also survived by his wife, Hoa Lapinksi. Many people in the community know Hoa through her restaurant, Pho Hau. Chris not only was a provider for their family, but he helped Hoa at the restaurant, doing their maintenance and keeping things moving behind scenes. He did all this on top of his own full-time job.
