Donate in memory of Doug Steidel

Doug Steidel, a good friend to many and someone who was always there to help others, tragically and suddenly passed away this past week just after Thanksgiving. He had traveled with his wife and teen children to visit family (from Florida) to Illinois where he had to be taken to the ER because he had trouble breathing. This was completely unexpected and the family was told he had pneumonia. His breathing got worse, and they tried to intubate him, when his heart stopped. They could not resuscitate. Doctors have determined that unbeknownst to Doug or anyone else, Doug had an aggressive form of leukemia.

Doug was a youthful 42 years old and had his own tree-trimming business. To say this loss was a huge one to his family is an understatement. Please pray for his wife and children in this terribly shocking and dizzying time.

We set up this GoFundMe to help minimize the great financial burden his wife and children are experiencing. With the loss of Doug's income, Alicia will face trying to figure out how to raise their family and what her future is in providing for them all, as Doug was sole provider. Please remember these guys in prayer and, if able, no amount is too small to donate. Thank you.

Note that a memorial service for Doug is on Tuesday, November 28th at 7:00 pm at Bible Wesleyan Church 1333 Dahl Road Louisville, Kentucky. A service will take place in Florida also when the family gets home.
