Donate in Memory of James Montalvo

The Montalvo family is collecting donations in memory of James Montalvo, who passed away on October 25, 2024.

A devoted husband and father, James spent the final years of his life caring for his wife of 53 years, Mary, who is living with advanced dementia. We, his daughters Maeve and Morgan, are now in the process of transitioning Mom to a memory care center where she can receive the high level of care she needs.

Anything you can offer will be greatly appreciated. Donations will be used to support the Montalvo family as we navigate nursing home care for our mother and the legal fees, medical expenses, and funeral costs we have incurred during this process.

We also want to honor our father, who always put others first. James was dedicated to education and working with children. He taught with several non-profits and schools throughout his lifetime.

Therefore, a portion of what we raise will also be used to make charitable gifts in his honor to two organizations about which James cared deeply: the Marble Hill Nursery School and the Bronx Children's Museum.
