In Memory of Jeff Metcalfe

Jeffrey Alan Metcalfe passed away in his home in Fort Collins on February 17, 2025. He was 60 years old. To honor his memory and in lieu of flowers, the Metcalfe family is asking friends and family to donate here for causes that Jeff was particularly passionate about. All donations will be split evenly between the following organizations:

1. Planned Parenthood of the Rockies

Jeff was a staunch and lifelong believer in affordable and safe abortion access. He believed all women should have the right to choose.

2. National Alliance on Mental Illness - Arapahoe/Douglas County

Jeff experienced a lifelong battle with mental illness, which eventually took his life. NAMI works to provide mental health education and support programs, combat stigma, and advocate for equitable resources for individuals affected by mental illness. NAMI of Arapahoe/Douglas county was a valuable resource for Jeff throughout his life.

3. The Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression

Jeff was an unwavering supporter of free speech, which he believed to be one of the most crucial rights to a free democracy. For Christmas in 2024, he bought everyone in his family hats that say "first amendment." He believed all persons should be free to state their opinions, and that everyone deserved the chance to be heard.
