Hello, I am Carmen's granddaughter. On Saturday, 2/3/24, my grandmother and tia were involved in a car accident.

The ambulance took my grandmother and tia to St. Francis Hospital, where we were notified that my grandmother had suffered a brain bleed. After waiting hours outside the hospital, a nurse finally let my brother and mom in to see them. The doctors told us that her heart stopped and she had passed.

The last time I saw my grandma, she had a tube down her throat and splotches of dried blood all over her face; she looked nothing like herself. The time before that, she was inside a totaled car with a neck brace and blood coming out the sides of her mouth. I don't want this to be our last memory of her.

She was born and raised in Colima, MX. Lynwood was her home away from home. She raised her children and cared for her grandchildren in Lynwood, and in two years, she would have watched everyone of us graduate from LHS.

She was extremely hardworking. She worked at Lincoln Elementary, the panaderia downstairs in Plaza Mexico, the stands in Plaza Mexico selling rosaries, the tortilleria down Atlantic, etc. We should all strive to be at least half the person she was- half as kind, compassionate, caring, and loving.

We want to lay her to rest peacefully, and we would all greatly appreciate it if you donated so we can make this possible.

Thank you,
Her grandchildren, Eduardo, Ximena, and Manuel Zuniga

Gracias,
Sus nietos, Eduardo, Ximena y Manuel Zúñiga.
