Donate in memory of Samantha “Sammy” Grabowski

Early morning on December 12th at 12:43 I received a call that my brother had discovered my 14 year old niece Sammy had passed away in her room. After having collapsed to the floor I grabbed my things as quickly as I could and headed to my brothers house to be by my brother and sister-in-laws side during such a tragic time.

Sammy was the light in the dark. The sun shine in the rain. The beauty on a rough day. The laugher you needed when your soul was feeling blue. Our family is blessed to have had such a beautiful soul as Sammy’s in our lives. She was the glue that held some of us together, the smile some of us didn’t realize we needed, an angel who seemed to have given us more than we ever actually realized in the moments we were blessed to have enjoyed with her.

My brother Ernie and Pam did everything they could to give her not only the world but the entire universe. Sammy had a chromosome defect (18q deletion) which should have made it difficult to give Sammy the life she so very deserved. But Ernie and Pam surpassed all barriers, there were none for their family. If they wanted to do it with Sammy or thought Sammy would enjoy this or that they made sure to make it happen. I’m hoping that I too can make this happen for them.

I know there are no words I can say to Ernie and Pamela to try to help put all the pieces back together of their broken hearts. All I can do is be by their side and hope that our comfort in someway helps hold them both together.

So, I come here asking friends, family, and strangers to help me help my brother and sister in law cover some of their unexpected expenses due to the loss of their precious daughter Sammy. Your donations would mean the world to myself and my family.
