Donate in memory of Tasha Rigby

"Tasha, a bright spark in our lives who always shone her light brightest when she was surrounded by family and her furry friends".

Tasha was born to mum Karen and dad Ste on the 27th March 1993.

Tasha peacefully passed away on the 12th March 2024, leaving behind her beautiful mum Karan, sister Jess and brother Ant and back in the arms of her father Ste.

Tasha was a true family girl who found pure joy in spending time with her loved ones and her beloved animals. Animals were her absolute passion – she was all set to study animal management at Liverpool John Moores University before her health took a turn for the worse.

Unfortunately, Tasha had to put her dreams on hold when she had to undergo unexpected open heart surgery to deal with a condition she didn't even know she had. She fought through years of health struggles with a smile on her face, showing us all what true strength and love look like.

Her sudden passing was totally unexpected and has hit us all hard, especially her mum, Karen. Tasha was only 30 years young, soon to be 31. Losing a child is a pain that no one should ever have to bear. Tasha was Karen's life, her little girl, her everything!

The family has been through so much already as we only recently lost Tasha's Dad, 6 weeks ago we had his funeral and now having to face doing the same for Tasha – it’s just too much.

As you can imagine losing a child is just indescribable and our hearts are breaking for Karen, her life has changed, her role as a carer has changed, her life has turned completely upside down and her pain is unmeasurable. It's not right that Karen has to go through this again, especially so soon, the only comfort we can take right now, is that Tasha has gone to the arms of her Dad, Ste and her loved ones and that she knows we will look after her Mum for as long as she needs us.

We want to give Tasha the most beautiful send-off possible, one that truly reflects the wonderful person she was. Tasha's love for animals was unmatched, so we're hoping to arrange a horse and carriage for her final journey – a fitting tribute to a daughter, sister, niece, auntie, cousin and friend who brought so much love and joy to our lives.

We've all had a chat about your suggestion of a go fund me, and we're just blown away by your kindness. It's more than just the go fund me – it's the fact that you care enough to do this. Karen's going to need all the support she can get, not just now but in the coming months, especially with work being off the cards for a while.

Let's come together to honor Tasha's memory and send her off with the love and respect she so richly deserves and help to look after her Mum too as that is what Tasha would of wanted.
