Our Design Your Life Team is raising money to benefit Joyful Heart Foundation, and any donation will help make an impact.

We so often hear directly from survivors about how so often, it is not only the trauma that stays with them for so long after the abuse or assault. It is also the response of those around them—the people they reported it to, the people they told, and the society that often blames survivors, that belittles and jokes about these issues.

Our team member Nane is one of the many faces of domestic abuse. Luckily she had the resources and help to move out of the situation.

Our team member Mina left her 11-year marriage right after she discovered her military husband abused her daughter sexually and discovered that he also mentally & emotionally manipulated her for years. Luckily she too had the support & resources to help her heal and move on with her life with her young children.

But most survivors do not have resources or tools to help them recover from this pain.

Abuse & assaults are happening around the world every day, and many people struggle in silence trapped in a toxic relationship cycle not knowing how to heal or recover.

Sexual assault, domestic violence, and child abuse thrive in darkness.

That is why, as a society, we need organizations like Joyful Heart Foundation, whose mission is to transform society's response to sexual assault, domestic violence, and child abuse, support survivors' healing, and end this violence forever. Joyful Heart carries out its mission through an integrated program portfolio of education and advocacy. Their work is paving the way for innovative approaches to treating trauma; igniting shifts in the way the public views and responds to sexual assault, domestic violence, and child abuse; and reforming and advancing policies and legislation to ensure access to justice for survivors.

This is a project close to our hearts and we love giving back to support other women & families.
