DONATE NOW for urgently-needed disaster relief in the aftermath of Hurricane Milton!

Whenever working people are facing a crisis, the response from the millionaires and billionaires who sit on top of the capitalist system we live under is: “you’re on your own”. We have a different view of how we can react to disasters like a hurricane – working together to guarantee that everyone is safe!

Across the South, organizers on the ground are mobilizing in the wake of Hurricane Milton to ensure our community members in Tampa and beyond have the supplies necessary for survival that the government has completely neglected to provide.

Monetary donations will be used to purchase supplies including, but not limited to:

Drinking water

Non-perishable foods

Diapers

Baby formula

Cleaning supplies

Batteries and other emergency supplies

An Atlanta-based team will also be collecting physical donations of these supplies at the Atlanta Liberation Center (862 MLK Jr. Drive) every Sunday through Wednesday from 6-9 PM, through the end of October.

When we see the government abandon working people to die, we act on our duty to do whatever we can to help. But we also know that whatever we do on our own will never be adequate without the resources of the government – that’s why we also have a bigger vision for a new economic and political system called socialism, where the dictatorship of the billionaire class is replaced with a democracy for the workers. Instead of property and profit being the priority, saving lives and ensuring people can live with dignity would be at the center of society.
