Donate to a father’s new life in a wheelchair
Donation protected
We are fundraising on behalf of the Streeter family. Brian Streeter, husband, and father of two, had a terrible and sudden accident in April. The accident severed his spine and left him paralyzed from the waist down. During the past months, he has been recovering in the hospital and every day getting stronger. He is currently at a rehab center learning to live in a wheelchair.
The accident was life-changing, however anything but life-taking. Brian and his family are so grateful he is alive. He is working hard every day, determined and inspiring all of his with his resilience.
The Streeter family will face many challenges in the days, months, and years ahead. One of those is how Brian will live and take care of his children at home. They are currently looking into an appropriate wheelchair and renovations for their home. Home modifications include the installation of ramps, widening doorways, adjusting bathroom fixtures, and retrofitting the kitchen. These changes will ensure Brian can move freely and safely in his home.
Another big concern is how the family will drive around the City while taking their children to school, appointments, and various sports and recreational activities. Car modifications: include hand controls and other necessary adjustments will be installed in Brian’s car, allowing him the freedom to travel independently.
We understand that this will take a significant amount, but every contribution, no matter the size, will bring Brian one step closer to regaining his independence and improving his quality of life. Please feel free to pass this page along to anyone you feel may wish to contribute. We are deeply grateful for any support you can provide.
We can't thank you enough for your support. Every dollar is so helpful and the Streeter family is so grateful.
