Donate to Aid Johnny's Healing Journey

My name is Dorothy Manley. I created this GoFundMe to raise funds to help my son, Johnny Lee Neal. He is in the hospital as a result of a diabetic foot ulcer that became infected. He continued to try to patch it up and keep walking so he could go to work. He has been working for over a year now at Collinsville Hardware and Home Store, and he loves his job. He hasn't missed a day until he was hospitalized, even though for the past few weeks the pain has been almost unbearable.

He has dealt with a lot of physical problems due to an inherited degenerative nerve disease called CMT. He faced many challenges with this disease but overcame them all by pushing forward and never giving up. This disease had already given him lots of problems, and then came diabetes into his life. He tried to just keep going with the diabetes foot pain, but this limb-stealing monster said NO and brought him down. So, yesterday morning, he was taken to surgery where they removed his little toe and the bone beneath it. We all know this is just the beginning of bigger things if he doesn't take time to let his foot heal. I am afraid, however, that he will try to get up and go too soon and cause more problems. He worries about me and helps me all he can. He has some bills he has to pay, and he worries about how he will take care of this hospital bill, medication, and supplies for dressing his foot every day.

Please help if you can so that he can rest easy for a while and let his wound heal, or it could cause him to lose his foot, his leg, or even his life. He is a good person. If you have a need, he will help if he can. If he only had one piece of bread to eat and you were hungry, he'd give you half. I am asking those of you who can, please give.
