Donate to Aid Lauren & Tristan's Long Road of Recovery

Hi, my name is Lauren. My life turned completely upside down April 1st, 2024. I worked just as hard as my beloved partner. We had side jobs as well that we enjoyed. Finally catching up on everything. I rode with my friend to work out of town, I was babysitting, my partner working out of town elsewhere with the car. When to be on the way home, and not have heard anything from him back since around 3:00 PM, earlier that day. I’m panicking and now home, calling until someone answers!!

Finally, a lady picks up. She's a nurse in the ICU. He wasn’t able to answer the phone, as he was in a coma. She got him from the ER and told me he was having back-to-back seizures so they had to medically induce him. She told me where he was, and I packed a bag of our things, gave the animals love, and RAN out the door. I ran all the way to the ICU. I didn’t know where the car was, it was almost 9PM, if not a little later. I didn’t care, I didn’t have time to wait for anything or anyone that late at night.

While he was in the hospital, I tried working through it, but I ended up getting fired. He is now disabled and cannot work. Fired from his job as well, which cancelled his insurance. We lost our place and we are facing to lose this one as well. I’ve had both of our families help on bills since his injuries and since he’s still healing a few massive brain injuries. He hasn’t had anymore full seizures since the medication. We won’t know what is permanently damaged until he’s fully healed and may need surgery still after. It’s been 4 months shy of a year now. I feel like life is a huge fever dream at this point.

I’ve had to take over all of our bills but no matter how many days I work and how many side jobs I pick up, with our fur babies, new specialists/co-pays, and rent still behind. We are looking for better days ahead. We pray to God to heal him as it’s been a struggle for him to do normal daily tasks as I to take over paying all the bills and being a caregiver. This has become more than I can afford and do on my own. Anything helps, even a dollar. $10 can help with gas or co-pays (which are almost weekly). I still need to get him medical insurance. We have rent behind for two months, now three. Some utilities are starting to pile up again. My car payment is current as well as our other loans. Mentally, we both are having a hard time as things seem hopeless.

Thank you for your time, your donation means the world. It definitely will change our life and get him and I the help we need. Please if you can’t donate, we would appreciate your prayers. We have been praying for some miracles.
