Hi!
I'm Ari Honarvar and as a Musical Ambassador of Peace, I’ve developed a program specifically for refugee communities, using proven techniques to build resilience through movement, music, and laughter. Along the way, I’ve had the privilege of dancing with thousands of displaced people—from Syrian and Iraqi girls freed from ISIS captivity to Afghan women seeking refuge from the Taliban to unaccompanied kids at the US-Mexico border. But it’s not just about dancing; we never show up empty-handed. We make sure that the people we serve have their basic needs met and offer additional support whenever we can.
This fundraiser aims to provide essential supplies for a migrant shelter that houses about 300 refugees in Tijuana. Many of these refugees have escaped persecution and violence in Central America, Mexico, and other parts of the world. This includes asylum-seeking families and LGBTQ+ people living in limbo at this shelter. They cannot go back and the ability to move forward is uncertain at best. With your help, we can provide food, cleaning supplies, hygiene products, and medicine to the vulnerable asylum seekers. Musical Ambassadors of Peace has been supporting this shelter for the past 6 years by providing essential supplies and ongoing therapeutic dance sessions for mental health support of the residents, many of whom are children❤️
