Support Stan's Brain Surgery and Home Repairs
Donation protected
Dear friends, family, and compassionate strangers,
I’m reaching out to you today with a heavy heart on behalf of my little sister, Destiny, and her husband, Stan. Life has thrown them a curveball, and they could use your support and prayers now more than ever.
Just days ago, Stan received the devastating news that he has a tumor on his brain, specifically on his pituitary gland. He needs brain surgery as soon as possible, which has shaken our entire family. To make matters worse, he has been experiencing intense headaches and exhaustion, side effects of the tumor that are making daily life incredibly difficult. On top of this, they recently discovered that a root has busted their plumbing, and the entire system needs to be replaced—a repair that could cost upwards of $10,000.
Stan is a certified Journey farrier, one of the very best in the country, holding numerous titles. He was gearing up for his world championship competition, an event he has worked tirelessly to prepare for. Unfortunately, due to his surgery, he’ll have to miss this opportunity. His job is incredibly labor-intensive, involving long hours of building and fitting horseshoes, but now he must take it easy until surgery and through an uncertain recovery period.
The good news is that with the surgery, Stan should be able to return to his normal life, free from the debilitating symptoms he’s currently facing.
Meanwhile, Destiny is in nursing school, set to graduate this December, and she’s focused on completing her studies.
While they navigate this challenging time, many people have asked how they can help. I’m asking for your support in reaching our goal of raising $50,000. This will help cover their living expenses, fix their plumbing, and contribute toward the surgery costs. Any amount, no matter how small, will make a difference and is deeply appreciated.
It’s also worth noting that Stan’s family is in New Zealand, where he is from, so this extra support during an extremely hard time means the absolute world to them.
Dez and Stan are incredibly grateful for any support, whether it’s a donation or simply sharing their story.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your generosity and kindness during this incredibly difficult time. Please keep Dez and Stan in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate these challenging days ahead.
With love and gratitude,
